River Roofing was established in 1971 by Jack Mclntosh in Leaburg, Oregon. Before moving to Oregon, Jack owned Mclntosh Roofing in Los Angeles, a large firm with an excellent reputation for quality and dependability. He came to Oregon and started River Roofing at the age of 55, bringing his years of experience and expertise to the firm. In 1971, Steve Davey became Jack's partner and began working side by side to learn all he could from the master craftsman. Every roof was to be perfect, nothing else was acceptable. River Roofing established a reputation for setting a firm price, finishing the job on schedule and standing behind the quality workmanship.
Even with the depressed economy and construction slump during the 1980's, River Roofing continued to expand while maintaining the well deserved reputation for quality work. In the 1990's the company's employee count reached nearly 100, becoming one of the areas larger employers. In 1994, we added a satellite branch in Bend Oregon, quickly becoming one of the largest roofing companies in the area. In 1999, River Roofing purchased Roe Roofing, a company specializing in flat built-up (hot tar) roofing since 1947. Michael Roe, a third generation roofing contractor, saw an opportunity to retire and still pass his company and reputation to the competent hands of Steve Davey at River Roofing. This acquisition gave River Roofing the equipment, experienced crews, and clientele to expand into commercial flat roofs.
Today, River Roofing is proud to employ over 45 workers in Lane County. The business continues to grow the River Roofing Way: with special attention to quality and customer satisfaction in every aspect of the job. We look forward to serving you.

Our Team
Steve DaveyThe Mid 1970's - Jack retired in 1976 and Steve Davey, at the age of 26, purchased the company. Steve's wife, Joy, handled the bookkeeping and pursued her degree in accounting and computers. Steve's brother, John, moved to Oregon from Los Angeles and joined the business. Growth was gradual and controlled, taking great care to never lose sight of the things that made River Roofing different: quality, professionalism, and integrity.

John DaveyJohn Davey started working with Steve and River Roofing in 1977, when the company consisted of 3-4 employees, the "Good old Days"? He currently functions as the Vice President and is gradually taking over the business from Steve as he retires. When not involved in the world of roofing you'll find him in the garage, wrench in hand.

Susan DaveySusan Davey joined River Roofing in May of 2010. She comes to us with many years of experience in the Cosmetology industry, where she owned her own business. She holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin and is in charge of payroll. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with their children and she really enjoys being 'fairy grandmother' to the most beautiful baby girl ever.

Allan RanchIn 2004 River Roofing acquired Integrity Roofing of Junction City. Integrity was founded in 1996. Prior to founding Integrity, Allan Ranch worked for ROE Roofing for 18 years. Allan and his wife Linda have six children. Allan now joins River Roofing and is in charge of estimates, sales, supervision, scheduling and safety.

Jesse AllenJesse Allen has been with River Roofing since 1995. He manages our single ply roofing division. Jesse and his crew have received numerous awards for installation proficiency in all types of single ply products. He helped earn River Roofing the 2006 Northwest Contractor of the Year award from IB Roof Systems. Jesse and his wife Jamie have two children.

Christina ZimmermanChristina Zimmerman started at River Roofing in March 2011 and is in charge of payroll and HR. She has a wide variety of office experience.

Brittany - SchedulerBrittany joined River Roofing in December of 2017 and is in charge of scheduling. She has experience in scheduling and dispatching, and has a degree in Business Management. Local to the Eugene area, you may see her out and about on the weekends with her husband and two dogs.

David – Repair ManagerDavid joined River Roofing in September of 2015 and is our repair division manager. He has a wealth of experience with defect work and applies that experience to problem solving a variety of roofing issues for our customers. His thoroughness and attention to detail enables our crews to resolve complex issues. In his spare time, you can find David fishing rain or shine.

JB – Field ManagerJohn joined the River Roofing team in May of 2017. With his prior experience in construction, he manages our job sites to ensure our crews have all the tools and materials needed to complete each project. A man of many hats, John also ensures our crews are following safety protocols established by River Roofing as well as the rules and regulations of OSHA.
